Not all objects are printable. We need to know the limits of FDM technology to how we have to design an object to be printable.
After taking part in design for 3D printing workshop imparted by Tumaker we have redesig several objects explaining the problems we found and the solutions we have chosen.
The object is a part of a half pipe removable thanks to the runner on the side.
Here, there are several problems for printing in 3D.
The slope on the part of the middle is too sharp, we have to take care of all the angles and bow it.
For the part in the bottom we’re just going to print it by turning it on the other side.
The same for the part in the middle, more over we’re going to add stuff at the top of the piece to make it thicker.
We suppress the runner for the first two parts which will be difficult to print
